How Does Coffee Make Us Feel Happier?

Any coffee drinker can recall their first impression of coffee; the grimaced face, the “eugheeww” expression, and the question, “Do I have to finish this?” However, you are a changed person! You love coffee now and even when you do not consume a cup of the delicious nectar, you still get a huge smile of relief just by breathing in the heavenly aroma. Why is this the case? How does coffee make us happy, even just by smelling it?

Scientists have known for a long time that coffee stimulates the sense of euphoria in the brain and creates that “happy place” for us. When we have that cup of coffee, our brain releases the dopamine; dopamine is a neurotransmitter in our brains that sends good vibes to the receptors. Coffee’s ability to release this chemical in our brain is a huge reason why java is one of the most consumed beverages in the world and can seem addictive for some.

Is that why we crave the stuff? We just want to feel good? Well, it is certainly a good force for wanting more coffee; people will make sure they have enough of it on hand to last them through vacations, a week, etc. When we see we are running low, we go and grab some mo
re. In a study from Molecular Nutrition and Food Research found that coffee can be addictive for people because it acts within the brain’s marijuana-esque neurotransmitter system.

When we start our coffee drinking habits, we tend to do so because we want that good feeling more than we need the focus it gives us. As we drink more and more of the stuff, our brains compensate by adjusting to the levels of caffeine; this way, we can focus with the effects of the coffee instead of becoming sleepless zombies and having tremors that are beyond our control. Due to the brain’s adjustments, we tend to need more and more coffee as our brain’s tolerance for the caffeine adjusts and the initial effects wear off. When we have our coffee, we find that the caffeine is stimulating the brain’s endogenous marijuana neurotransmitter setup; this created a new pleasure level when we have our morning coffee, this also makes us want more than just one cup a day.

Ultimately, coffee makes us feel good because it creates good vibes from all the pleasure centers of our brain. This elixir smells good, tastes good, and has been proven to even be good for us (when consumed in moderation).

Enjoy your coffee. Love it.

3 Cups of Coffee a Day Keeps the Heart Attacks Away

Consuming three to five cups of coffee each day can help keep your risk of heart attack or clogged arteries in check. A recent health study analyzed the connection between levels of coffee consumption and coronary artery calcium, which is an indicator of heart disease (which is the clogging of arteries).

The study was done in South Korea, using 25k men and women with no signs of heart disease and an average age of 41. The researchers found that the people who consumed more coffee had lower levels of calcium.

One cup of coffee meant having an average calcium ratio of 0.77, up to three cups meant 0.66, up to five cups meant 0.59. After that, more than five cups, calcium ratios began to increase. So cap it at five cups, everyone.

The true component in coffee that is causing this health benefit is still being researched but the connection is being found to be true. A doctor from Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health in the U.S. hopes this will change the view of coffee as something that is part of an unhealthy lifestyle.

Health Study Links Coffee Consumption & Lower Risk of Endometrial Cancer

In the US, Endometrial Cancer is the most common cancer for female reproductive organs. In fact, 1 in 37 women will get the cancer in their lifetime; however, a recent medical study found that women who drink three to four cups of coffee per day can lower their risk of endometrial cancer by 20 percent.

Endometrial cancer often begins in the lining of the uterus (endometrium). According to the American Cancer Society, or ACS, they predict over 54k women will be diagnosed with the disease this year.

Medical researchers studies 1,303 women who suffered from endometrial cancer (the researchers were from the European Prospective Investigation into Cancer and Nutrition Study). The researchers analyzed the links between 84 different foods and how they impacted the risk of endometrial cancer.

Once they did that, the researchers were able to narrow down to nine foods and their nutrients that impacted the risk of cancer; the nutrients studied were: total fat, non saturated fat, phosphorus, and carbs. Specific foods that were studied included coffee, yogurt, butter, potatoes, and cheese.

After this study, researchers analyzed the findings from a similar study by the Nurses' Health Study. This enabled the researchers to find that women who drank three to four cups of coffee per day lowered their risk of the cancer by almost 20 percent; this is in comparison to women who don't drink coffee.

Reduce your risk of endometrial cancer and enjoy some K-Cup coffee! Have it shipped to your door at your home or office, any time.

7 Wonderful Health Benefits of Coffee

Coffee
is not only a good thing to drink because it changes us from zombies to functioning, pleasant human beings, it also has some really nice health benefits.

Coffee helps with our reproductive systems. Hey fellas, if you are looking for something to help with warding off that prostate cancer, then consider coffee. Ladies, if you are looking for something to help with warding off endometrial cancer, then consider coffee. A study from 2011 discovered that men who drink about six cups of java a day are less likely to have prostate cancer by 20 percent! Wonderful. Another recent medical study from the Journal of Epidemiology, Biomakers, and Prevention discovered that women who consumed four cups of java a day reduced their risk of endometrial cancer by 25 percent.

Coffee can reduce risk of Type 2 Diabetes. Coffee has been discovered to have the ability to block a substance in our bodies that is called the human islet amyloid polypeptide, which is believed to be a role player in the development of Type 2 Diabetes. This is a reason for having another coffee K-Cup.

Coffee helps your brain. The coffee of the world can rejoice at the thought of their habit being helpful in warding off the development of dementia and Alzheimer's Disease. Coffee also helps our brains feel happier, even just the smell of it; this is often why we wake up with a smile when we smell coffee brewing as we get out of bed.

Coffee can help with bowel issues and your colon. If you have ever had a bowel function issue, such as being constipated, then you know it can be frustrating and even dangerous. Coffee can get things moving down there and have a helping hand in relieving that situation.

Coffee is good for your skin. Coffee has been found to be a helper in defending against the most common form of skin cancer. Medical research studies found coffee to be a helper in defending against basal cell carcinoma.

Coffee helps against oral cancer. Recent medical studies found that coffee has a great way of helping people have a 50 percent lower risk of developing oral cancer. Those who consume more than four cups a day get this benefit.

Coffee helps with muscles. It is not a substitute to that odd tasting protein shake but it can help with muscle function and health. Coffee can have similar positive effects on muscles exercising does, some medical studies found. It can also be a great thing to have before a workout since it wakes you up and helps with muscle memory.

What's the Smartest Thing to Do After Coffee?

Everyone loves to have a morning cup of coffee, especially when it only takes a few seconds to brew like single cup coffee. However, what is the best thing to do after you finish that morning cup of joe? Well, some people like to write, exercise, and some are forced to head to the good ol' job.

According to a study in Health (magazine), it was reported that coffee can help your body with pre-workout. It was shown to improve your circulation, reduce pain, and improve muscle memory (and your brain memory). It has also been said to help with burning calories/fat.

Not much of an exercise fan? Maybe you'd rather nap. Coffee clears your body of adenosine, a chemical. This chemical collects while you are awake and eventually tells your brain to sleep. During your sleep, this chemical breaks down. Coffee decreases this chemical in the brain but it takes about 20 minutes to complete. So, if you finish your coffee, have a 15 minute nap and feel the peak of alertness.

Maybe you want to do some art! Great idea, Picasso. Coffee helps with your focus and attention, which helps you create more fresh ideas.

Now, feel free to go workout, sleep, or finish some art. If you are looking for a quick and easy place to buy coffee K-Cups, then shop Coffeevines! We also have a vast assortment of K-Cup tea.
