Coffee Sales are Expected to Soar In Next 5 Years

Coffee is already one of the world's most popular beverages, however, there is a major swing in popularity in the works. The world's two most populated countries, China and India, are becoming bigger & bigger coffee fans.

As China and India become bigger coffee fans, the demand for the hot beverage is expected to increase by 25 percent. As countries around the world continue to become more westernized, the consumption of coffee, including single cup coffee, continues to increase.

At this point in time, the consumption of coffee around the world is around 141.6 million bags of coffee beans; however, by the year 2020, coffee consumption is expected to be at a consumption rate of 175.8 million bags. As the popularity of K-Cup coffee continues to rise as well, we will see this rise as well (sales have tripled since 2011).

The coffee craze is timing up in a peculiar way with the tighter coffee supplies as Brazil has seen droughts affect their coffee bean output. The droughts have reduced the coffee supply by 5.7 million coffee bags in 2015 (aside from the droughts, there was a fungus that ruined many crops, as well).

Make sure to purchase your coffee soon, before it is all gone! Get ahead on the rush and buy from Coffeevines
